1. There are many impurities in the vaporization tower.

Due to the long-term operation of the system, the impurities in the feed methanol accumulate on the vaporization tower tray, and the main sources of impurities are: pulverized coal in the coarse syngas of the gasifier; The sulfur-resistant shift catalyst, the purified desulfurizer and the synthesized catalyst will be pulverized due to the decrease in strength at the end of use, and the entrainment of methanol will enter the finished product tank farm with the formation of methanol. The dirty tray leads to poor evaporation effect, and the liquid methanol accumulates on the tray, resulting in an increase in the vapor resistance of the rising methanol, destroying the gas-liquid balance of the vaporization tower, and increasing the pressure difference of the vaporization tower.

Treatment measures: According to the inventory of raw materials and finished products, the vaporization tower tray is cleaned regularly, and the cleaning cycle is determined according to the cleanliness of raw materials.


2. Gasification tower corrosion

The main causes of corrosion and treatment measures for vaporizer corrosion are as follows.

(1) The methanol raw material used contains hydrogen sulfide After the methanol containing hydrogen sulfide is heated in the vaporization tower, the hydrogen atoms penetrate into the carbon steel matrix through the vaporization tower tray support, overflow weir and liquid tray weld to cause hydrogen corrosion. Affected by stress, the cracking phenomenon of the weld of the vaporization tower occurs, and the methanol liquid frequently washes the cracked part of the weld during the system start-up and shutdown, resulting in the corrosion of the vaporization tower.

   Treatment measures: stop using sulfur-containing methanol as dimethyl ether raw material, and enter the sulfur-containing methanol into the distillation pre-column and remove sulfur before use.

(2) The organic acid in the vaporization tower needs to be neutralized by alkali supplementation when the system is continuously started and stopped by the dimethyl ether device, and the liquid methanol in the vaporization tower is vaporized into acidic gaseous methanol by the waste heat of the tower after stopping. When the temperature of the vaporizer decreases, the gaseous methanol in the vaporizer gradually converts to liquid methanol. During the flow of methanol along the tower wall to the tower kettle, part of the methanol adheres to each weld. Because the pH value of methanol is 5 ~ 6, it is acidic, and the frequent start and stop of the device will repeatedly corrode the weld of the vaporization tower, and the liquid methanol washes the tower wall through the cracked weld during the normal operation of the system after the weld cracking.

Treatment measures: plan production to reduce the frequency of start and stop, adjust the load in advance, and avoid system shutdown due to high inventory.

(3) The material of the dimethyl ether vaporization tower. Made of carbon steel, methanol is acidic, which has a corrosive effect on the vaporization tower.

   Treatment measures: add alkali replenishment pipeline to the outlet pipeline of the liquid tank pump of the distillation tower kettle to form organic acids after neutralizing the bed reaction to avoid corrosion of the vaporization tower.
